A Paris Fashion Week event
The one-of-a-kind Balmain Festival is an annual celebration mixing the best in food, music, and fashion. Every year, the festival expands in size and scope. It began as a concert and runway for 1,500 in 2019 and now, in 2022, it has grown to a special fashion week happening for 10,000 friends of the house.
On September 28th, the perimeter of Paris’ iconic Stade Jean Bouin, will be transformed into the Balmain Festival’s ephemeral festival village, filled with stands offering limited-edition Balmain merchandise, as well as food trucks packed with special refreshments.
Part of the proceeds from every Balmain Festival purchase will go directly to (RED) and the Global Fund’s efforts to fight pandemics.
Supporting (RED) and The Global Fund
In addition to celebrating friendship, fashion and music, The Balmain Festival will once again raise funds in support of the important work of (RED) and The Global Fund. For sixteen years, (RED) has been working closely with partners like Balmain to help raise awareness and finance the Global Fund’s essential, life-saving work in the fight against preventable diseases like AIDS and COVID.
Balmain is proud of its long history and partnership with (RED), collaborating on multiple projects and products over the years. And, with HIV infection and deaths on the decline and more people accessing treatment than ever before, we’re proud to work with (RED) and contribute to the great progress that the Global Fund’s efforts help make possible. However, the emergence of COVID-19 jeopardizes this hard-won progress. If we do not get funding and resources to countries that need it most, we may lose out on decades of gains made in the AIDS fight.
Recognizing that global pandemics demand global responses; Balmain knows that now is the time to join together with partners like (RED) to fight harder than ever before. We need to strengthen global health systems and protect hard-won progress. That is why all proceeds from all Balmain Festival Village sales of food, drink and Balmain merchandise will support of (RED)’s mission.
